Viko

Synopsis
Viko
is a strong, ambitious Viking warrior in search of glory. Viko wants to be immortalized
in stories as a hero but is not interested in helping people. Through his adventures
he learns the true meaning of being a hero. Viko travels to different kingdoms
and finds that Loki the god of mischief has been making his troublesome rounds.
Viko saves the kingdoms and finds that helping people in need, is what being a
hero is all about.

5> World and background
A world where kings rule and peasants live and serve the king, peasants live around or in the
kings castle. Warrior is a big career path. Strength, valour and death in battles are the way to
Valhalla, where the brave may live forever!
Loki is a mischievous god and enjoys causing havoc amongst the people of the land. Loki
causes trouble everywhere and Viko the Viking hero encounters Loki’s pranks on his
adventures and saves the affected kingdoms.

6> Series outline
Viko travels to faraway lands where he helps 5 kingdoms overcome the evils brought by the
god of mischief Loki. For each adventure Viko goes on he learns something new and gains a
valuable artefact which he must use to battle against Loki himself. After a long battle Loki
offers Viko the opportunity of fame fortune and glory, but only if he lets him continue his
reign. Viko has learnt that being a hero is more than just glory and with the help of the
artefacts, knowledge and skills he has gained over his journeys he defeats Loki.

Viko the Viking
Viko yearns for glory and to be immortalized and remembered as a hero but doesn’t
understand that helping people is what makes a true hero. Viko is extremely strong but he’s
more brawn than brain but is a quick learner and we follow his development through this
series as he learns what it really means to be a hero. He’s a barbarian who likes good food
and good drink, and the occasional battle with evil that threatens the world.
Viko, like all other young Viking men don’t know the meaning of fear want to do battle and
join their fallen forefathers in the Viking afterlife, Valhalla. Viko proved to be a hero and
Odin granted him a flying ship, which will take him to faraway places where he will save
kingdoms affected by the god Loki.
Loki, god of mischief
Loki enjoys bringing trouble and hardship to kingdoms and their people. Loki is the main
antagonist, bringing trouble, mischief and danger to the kingdoms and their people. Loki can
shape shift, and can put magical curses on almost anything. Loki curses always bear the Loki
seal.
Kings
There will be 5 unique kings in this series, each with their own unique problem brought forth
by the god of mischief, Loki. When Viko meets the kings they are always at wits end, and
don’t know what to do to restore peace and harmony.
Kings helper
Tom, the king’s helper is always the same character and acts as an advisor to Viko and the
king. Where Viko lacks brains, Tom is there to point him in the right direction offering
valuable information. He suggests to Viko certain techniques to defeat certain obstacle.
These lessons help Viko defeat Loki in the series finale
8> Episode Storyline
Episode 1&2
Viko arrives at the far away kingdom of ice and steel, where the people live in fear of
an evil fire breathing dragon, which eats their people and burns their homes. Viko embarks
to defeat the dragon, but almost dies. Viko tries again this time with the help of a magical
shield which blocks fire.
Viko fights the dragon, during which he discovers the seal of Loki on
its back. After removing the seal the dragon becomes passive and they become good friends.
Viko learns that no all quests can be solved with brute force, the dragon gives Viko a unique
ring which protects against fire.
Episode 3&4
Viko travels to a land of deep forests, where the princess has recently been
kidnapped by a hideous creature. Viko battles the creature’s henchmen and discovers this
too was the work of Loki. The creature is the holder of a magical battle axe from ancient
times. After a long battle Viko defeats the creature and returns the princess. The king
demands Viko marry the princess, Viko sneaks out after the reception feast.
Episode 5&6
Viko travels to a strange land where no one speaks. After testing his charade skills,
Viko discovers Loki has cursed the kingdom. The only way to break the curse is to answer the
sacred rocks 3 questions. If he fails he too will suffer being a mute. Viko tries to smash the
rock with his sword and is hurled into a coma. After waking Tom, Vikos adviser gives Viko
further information about the rock and Viko things hard, an old wiseman gives Viko his
headband of wisdom. When Viko volunteers to try to answer the questions, but instead of
answering the rocks questions with answeres he answeres with another question, the rock
smashes in half, inside which resides the seal of Loki. After destroying the seal the curse was
lifted and the people honour Viko with a hearty feast.
Episode 7&8
Viko arrives in a kingdom of poverty, the peasants inform Viko of the kings sudden
impulse of greed. Viko notices the seal of Loki amulet around the king’s neck and attempts
to take it by force, but the king’s guards throw Viko into the dungeon, where he meets a
clever rat who assistsd Viko in tricking the king into taking off the amulet which instantly
changes the king back to normal, and it doesn’t take long for the land to return to
prosperity.
Episode 9&10
Viko arrives at heavily fortified kingdom where the people fear an evil cult
responsible for strange disappearances. Viko takes the cult head on and discovers the cult
sacrafices people for the god Loki and is the source of his new power. The king gives Viko a
mystical sword of good which will easily vanquish evil. Viko destroys the cult but is
confronted with a large demon creature, representing Loki’s presence on earth.
Episode 11&12
Viko battles the evil demon but is defeated; the demon starts devouring entire kingdoms
and seems to grow in strength and power. Viko uses all the skills he’s learnt from his past
adventures and the help of the god Odin. He defeats the demon and vanquishes Loki.
