Summary
As an educator, mentor, artist, and organizer, I am dedicated to the continual enhancement of technical and intellectual abilities in the realm of media and creative work. My expertise spans the four major concentrations of Graphic Design, Media Production, Information Systems, and Animation studies, providing me with a harmonious blend of academic knowledge and practical skills. Over the past seven years, I have been a manager and mentor for various art events and projects in Bangladesh, contributing to the successful execution of art camps, exhibitions, displays, and campaigns. Additionally, I proudly serve as a jury member for the child art competition at the National Museum of Independence, Bangladesh. Since 2018, I have been actively involved in teaching Design Management, Film and Television, and Narrative Strategies and Screenwriting at two renowned universities in Bangladesh.

  • Awards and Recognition: Received the prestigious award from the international organizations Green Leaf and Soroptimist for my outstanding contribution to the Drug Abuse campaign in an International Poster Art competition.
  • Public Art Event Management: Led the management of several impactful public art events in Bangladesh, including a significant art camp commemorating the centenary of the Father of the Nation, Bangladesh. This event featured the creation and display of 100 artworks by 100 artists on the streets.

From 1988 to 1998 in Bangladesh, I actively engaged in diverse community activities, demonstrating a deep commitment to social and cultural initiatives. Serving as a Student Leader at Dhaka University's Faculty of Fine Arts, I assisted and managed numerous national events, including celebrations such as Borsho Boron (Bengali New Year), Public Art events involving wall painting, street painting, poster art, and child art, and commemorations for International Mother Language Day and National Victory Day. As an organizer of cultural and annual student events, I played a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant cultural environment within the Faculty of Fine Arts. Additionally, my involvement as a Divisional elected Rover Scout Leader in the '90s allowed me to contribute extensively to various social causes, including organizing Eye Camps, Road Safety Awareness Campaigns, health campaigns, City Clean Day events, Disaster Management initiatives, and support for people in need. My experience extends to participation in social and cultural movements in Bangladesh, and I had the privilege of being a member of the Gallery Art Works display at the 2nd South Asian Games in Dhaka. Furthermore, my active participation in Rover Scout Moots in Bangladesh reflects my dedication to community engagement and leadership.

Project Coordinator and Media Illustrator

During my tenure as a Project Coordinator and Media Illustrator from 1994 to February 1996, I played a vital role in the HIV Awareness Project with Care International in Bangladesh. In this multifaceted position, I seamlessly combined my skills in drawing, illustration, story writing, and concept development to contribute to the project's overall success. This encompassed the entire project lifecycle, from initial pitching to comprehensive project coordination with clients and project workers. My responsibilities extended to conducting extensive research and interviews with hundreds of sex workers operating in the Dark Streets and Parks of the capital city, Dhaka. Innovatively, I developed a new concept aimed at preventing HIV in Bangladeshi sex workers and their clients through the promotion and usage of female condoms. My role further involved illustrating and refining these ideas, implementing the outcomes in collaboration with field workers, and executing them through projector slide shows and workshops. The success of this endeavor was contingent on effective coordination with sex workers, clients, field workers, and project directors, collectively achieving the project's goals and promoting the successful use of female condoms for HIV prevention.
